Topic: Adjusting loudness corner frequency and Q?
I really like the loudness function on the ADI, but who can get too much of a good thing.
When I look at the ISO equal loudness graphs and derive the difference between say 60 and 80 phons I end up with something like a 10 dB difference between equal loudness at 20 Hz and falling smoothly to zero at around 800 Hz. The difference at higher frequencies are much smaller than at low frequencies.
The default setting for the ADI loudness function is set to a corner frequency at 85 Hz and a Q of 0,9 it is stated in the manual, as I can see it this only addresses parts of the loudness function. E.g if set to a 10 dB boost it will fit the ISO curves at 20 Hz and be 2 dB of at 70 Hz and around 4 dB off at 200 Hz.
Is there any way of adjusting the Q and corner frequency for the loudness function?
Is here anybody who have experimented with this?
