Topic: FIREFACE 800 - setting up external Reverb for monitoring?

man, i love this interface. I've used it for years and it sounds so much better than my apogee DUET.
(Do the newer RME products also sound this good?)

Anyway, question: This has no built in monitoring FX. Is there a way I can use an external rev/del so I can hear some ambience when tracking vocals? My brain isn't naturally wired for this kind of thing (totalmix gives me a bit of a panic attack) but i'm getting there. Any help much appreciated.

You don't really need Totalmix... The send/return configuration is a matter of your DAW software, TM can be left at defaults.

Thanks for a fast reply

Thing is, I'm trying to avoid monitoring through the DAW for latency reasons. Is there not a way i can set up an FX return through total mix?

Hello!

Could you take a look at this thread?

The only difference with your situation is that, at the final step you just need to raise the fader of the Input you have your Mic connected to!
