Topic: Getting Big Sur to see a Fireface 400
Hello there,
I have a quick question regarding hooking up my beloved Fireface 400 to my MacbookPro which is updated to 11.0.1 with Big Sur. I just downloaded and installed the new driver from the RME website. I tried to likewise install the Flash Update, however my computer tells me that the developer needs to update the program in order for my computer to recognize it.
I am unable to open the "Fireface Settings" program when I double-click on its icon. When I try to open a workspace window in Totalmix, it sees no device to connect to.
I am running a long adaptor chain to connect the FF400 to this computer: FF400>FF800>TB2>USB-C. But from what I've seen on this forum, there don't seem to be issues with doing so.
Would anyone be able to offer up any helpful insight for me as to how to get my laptop to recognize the connected Fireface 400? If it's an issue that is linked to that Flash Update, does anyone know if RME will be updating it soon?
Thank you very much.
