Topic: Differences in Totalmix on UC/UCX

I understand that totalmix runs on both.
But I think there are some limitations on UC.
Could someone please sum these up for me?

Re: Differences in Totalmix on UC/UCX

The missing X in the name suggest the FX section of Totalmix might not be included.
After watching the user manuals, it is the case.
The EQ, Dynamics, Reverb and Delay effect section is not available for the UC.
I couldn't discover any other limitations or restrictions by the short time, but I think thats all.
May be I get corrected.
Are you missing something ? Any idea ?

Re: Differences in Totalmix on UC/UCX

The only things that I remember in regards to TM FX:
- UC has no FX chip on board
- UC has no AUTOSET feature for Mic/Instr inputs
- UCX can store up to 6 recallable profiles for stand-alone operation, UC remembers only the last settings

Maybe my Excel overview is of additional help to you:

EDIT: these should actually be the most important or even the only points regarding TotalMix FX, otherwise you would have to put the manuals of both devices side by side and compare them.

BTW ... I also only related your question to what I count as "TotalMix FX". If you want to know more / all differences, then please search the forum, I answered this already a couple of times.

Tip: you can use a google search for that then you do not need to wait 30 seconds between searches.
Best by narrowing search results by using the search option "site:", e.g.:

Re: Differences in Totalmix on UC/UCX

Aside from the effects system, the other major difference is support for UAC2 Class Compliant USB audio. The UCX can work in Class Compliant mode, where no hardware driver is required, and is therefore compatible with Linux and iOS (iPad, etc.) The Fireface UC does not have Class Compliant capability.
