Topic: NO Playback No Sound UFX+ Windows 10

Hello.
So the problem is there is no playback no sound.
Total mix works , settings madiface are working. no playback from system,
Windows see UFX+ as main device, tried to shut down Realtek drivers , no use, checking asio drivers updated everything we could, no use
In DAW is the same thing no playback so I cant get to work in projects.

HOSt LEd is Blue. Driver version of RME is 09735

Any suggestions ?

Windows doesn't support ASIO, therefore you need to define WDM devices for Windows.
The manual tells you how to do this.

In short: assumed your active monitors are connected to HW output AN 1/2 ...

Once you configured WDM devices in the RME driver settings, then you find the speaker device in the Windows Sound Settings. Configure it as Windows Default sound device.

In TotalMix FX use the assign button to assign HW output AN 1/2 to "Main out".
By this you move this output to the control room to be able to use control room features like mute, dim, etc ...

To get a basic routing to Main out you can use predefined routings in TM FX:
- Reset Mix -> Total Reset
- Reset Mix -> Straight Playback (this is like "DAW mode")
alternatively
- Reset Mix -> Straight Playback with all to Main Out

We know that it have to be set as WDM device. We ve done total resets and all of that stuff
In windows main audio device is UFX+ WDM config is set up.
No sound and windows as RME interface do not show that the soun is comming out from.

No software playback at all

Tried on other PC with windows 7
Works fine.

TBH .. it makes no sense to open another thread with new questions when the other thread has not been finished yet. MC / RME involved already and if his suspicion is true, that the ASIO driver has not been loaded, then of course audio won't work if the RME ASIO driver has not been loaded.

I recommend to work on your other thread 1st. Should it turn out, that the RME driver has been loaded properly, then we can look for other things, but please stay in that thread, so that everybody can clearly see, what has already been checked / troubleshooted.
