Topic: Total Mix ADAT Configuration for Live 11

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone could help me diagnose what may be a routing or clocking issue between Total Mix fx and Ableton live.

I have recently upgraded to a FF UCX from a FF 800 but would like to keep the FF 800 for additional connectivity. They are connected via ADAT.

FF 800 ADAT 1 OUT --> FF UCX ADAT IN --> MPB M1

Clock Mode of FF 800: AutoSync
Clock Mode of UCX: Internal
Samplre rates are all set to 44100 Hz

I am currently successfully receiving signal in Total Mix from the ADAT of the FF 800 but I cannot seem to find a way to receive the ADAT signal in Live. I have search Ableton's forums but could not find anything relatable there.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Clock Mode UCX must be set to AutoSync. Unless you did not disclose the path UCX ADAT Out --> FF800 ADAT In.

Thanks for such a prompt reply Matthias, this resolved the issue. Much appreciated.

Is my understanding correct; different sample rates change the available analog outputs? I have changed the sample rate to 48hz.

Now that I have UCX ADAT Out --> FF800 ADAT In will I still be able to access the 8 analog outputs from the FF 800 or at 48hz does that change to 4 analog outputs?

?????

96 kHz would reduce to 4 channels via ADAT.
