Topic: Fireface ii midi conection issue

Hey guys,

i am wondering if someone could help me out or has an experience with conecting midi cables into a Fireface ii. Here is the issue,

I have a Strymon Timeline pedal that requires a software update, i had to buy two specific midi cables in order to make this update work. However, it seems like i have a conective issue. Fist off my Fireface ii has both adat IO's in use with two Behringer Ada 8200's. I also am using my Kemper Spidif ins and outs to the Fireface's AES-EBU IO's. In my Madiface settings i see my Adat's and AES are synced and i see this on my Fireface via green lights on the front pannel.

My issue is, when i connect the pedal via midi i have a blinking yellow light, i then checked the Strymon software and i have no incoming signal. The software cannot find the pedal. All the connections are correct but i am stumped on why midi over my Fireface is not connecting. Any ideas guys? I would appreciate any advive or  help you guys have.

What interface is it exactly ?

UFX II or UCX II ?
A Fireface II doesn't exist.

Is it a Mac or Windows computer ?

Yes it is the UFX II, sorry for the confusion. I am currently running Windows 11. The midi cables are Roland UM-One and i have two conected.

The UFX II is not showing up there ?

You did this, right ?
ON A PC: Download and install SendSX http://www.bome.com/products/sendsx

Not at all !
This software is for the Stryman pedal to make the firmware update into it.

I use loop midi but not sure what the difference is.

Ah i see but isn't that what the Strymon Nixie update software is for?

Probably yes.
It is a software to transmit firmware updates over Midi connection.
It works for all units.
