Topic: M2 + FIREFace UC

Hello RME users, does anybody have information on updated drivers for the FIREFACE UC usb interface to work with Mac´s M2 processor in the Macbook Air???  I have been a RME user for more than 10 years and now I am looking at other brands, this cannot be on a 4 year old interface. Please any information is greatly appreciated, I use this interface on my live shows. Best, MARIO FRENTE CUMBIERO

Wich driver you use ? The 328 or the 406 ?
firmware version is 127 ?
What exactly is not working ?
Settings window not opening ?
Totalmix not opening ?
Please be more specific

I tried the 328 Driver,

Firmware I have is 126, I cannot get the flash tool to update to 128

Settings window wont open

Totalmix opens but no "mixer" appears on screen

The 406 Beta driver is probably something to try ?
you have to read the readme of the driver.

And you should find another computer to perform firmware updates.
I am sure this interface will work on your mac.
The Fireface UC needs firmware 127 for using version 4 driverkit

Please describe exactly how you connect the interface to the Macbook. In most cases when the installation of the RME driver and apps went fine but then there are issues like yours, it’s a communication problem.
Also the UC has separate modes for Mac and Windows which has to be set manually.

The 406 Beta driver worked !!!  Now I have communication between computer and interface. I am gonna try all the settings

Wonderful. But I would do the firmware update as told in the driver readme,
UC should have firmware 127, and you wrote yours is on 126.

Hey there,

I have the same setup with a Fireface UC and an M2 Mac Mini and ran into some trouble updating the firmware. I got the driver version 407, but I can't update the firmware from 123 to 127. As a result, TotalMix opens, but no "mixer" appears on screen.

I tried using the RME USB Series Flash Tool, but nothing happened when I clicked "Update." I don't have another computer on hand at the moment. Can someone offer any tips or suggestions on how to get this to work?

328 driver works! and I can now update the firmware to 127 as well. Thanks!!
