Topic: Totalmix output EQ bug - causes DC offset on Babyface Pro FS
G'day,
I mis-typed a value applying corrective EQ to my monitors and found a bug in Totalmix's output EQ, causing a DC offset from the AN1/AN2 XLR outputs of a Babyface Pro FS.
I can consistently replicate the behavior doing the following:
1. Set main output as AN1/AN2
2. Enable EQ
3. Drag HF shelf to +6dB with the cursor
4. If I enter an exceedingly high value of ‘50000’, the pot sticks to it’s upper-threshold of 20k.
5. Use the mouse to click and drag the value back to 19.9k.
6. Then enter ‘000’.
Band 3 frequency will now show as '0'. Clip lights will illuminate in Totalmix.
During some tests, I've had loud, repeated popping noises through my monitors - about twice a second.
In other instances, there's only been a single pop.
A multimeter tied between pin 1 and pin 2 of the output shows a DC offset of ~860mV.
Particulars as follows:
TotalMix FX Version 1.83 macOS (1)
Firmware: v203 (also confirmed in v205)
Driver: 4.08
macOS Monterey v12.6.5 (also confirmed in Monterey v12.6.6)
I've uploaded a video demonstrating the problem here:

Additionally, as a secondary issue - since moving to the DriverKit driver, I'm getting ‘Fireface USB Settings quit unexpectedly’ if I unplug USB from the Babyface Pro FS while the system is running.
I've also raised this via the support line of the local distributor.
Cheers,
Andrew
