Topic: Fireface UFX III

Hi, everyone.

I will be the owner of a brand new Fireface UFX III when it arrives next week. I'm really looking forward to the quality RME brings, as I am upgrading from Focusrite.

With that said, my monitors are Adam Audio S3V and an Adam Sub 12.  Currently, I run my output from the Fosusrite to the Sub 12, and then run Satellite Out L + R to each monitor from the Sub 12. I can certainly do that again with the RME, but the Adam's have AES/EBU connections, except for the sub.

Is there any way I can utilize the AES digital connection along with the subwoofer? What I'm assuming I can do is the following:

1. RME AES Out goes to Adam Audio Left AES In
2. Adam Audio Left AES Out to Adam Audio Right AES In
3. RME Analogue Out 1+2 to Adam Sub 12 Analogue Left + Right IN
4. Total Mix - Enable both AES Out and Line Level Outputs 1 + 2

Would that be how to set this up?

Thank you so much for your time.

Re: Fireface UFX III

Yes

But I would ask Adam if it's ok to provide full bass to the satellites monitors.

I would connect only to the Sub with analog 1/2 and let the Sub do its work for having the loudspeaker set in its designed setup.
