Topic: Digiface AES - Route Mic for Google Meet

This was pretty easy with my Babyface Pro. I recently purchased a Digiface AES and there is no audio from my microphone connected on mic/line 1. Any help would be appreciated.

In Totalmix input channel 1 is no signal visible ?
if you use a condenser mic the phantom power 48V is ON ?

I've got the gain set properly and phantom power is not needed. I'm using the same setup that I had with the babyface.

A screenshot of Totalmix would be helpful.
Hopefully you don't have activated Loopback ?

Re: Digiface AES - Route Mic for Google Meet

You most probably mean that a signal is there in TM FX level meter, but not recorded. It should be obvious that these are channels 1/2 on the Babyfcae, but channels 5/6 at the Digiface AES, so you need to change settings in your recording software. I don't know Google meet, if that one is fixed to 1/2 then you could use the usual workaround with Loopback on output 1/2 activated.

Re: Digiface AES - Route Mic for Google Meet

The Babyface and the Digiface AES seems to have a different channel order.
In Babyface the Input channel 1 receives signal from Mic 1
In Digiface AES the Input channel 5 receives the signal from Mic1.
In the Matrix window you can see it.
For routing the mic to the input channel 1 you have to use Loopback in the Output channel AES.
Route the Mic input 1 to the hardware output AES and activate Loopback, open the AES channel with the wrenchtool button.
Then Google Meet will receive the mic.

That worked. Thank you so much!
