Topic: What USB pci card\chipset for Fireface 802

Hello there, I got a Fireface 802 and I was wondering if I should buy a pci USB 2 card to connect it, instead of my motherboard's usb inputs (Asus Prime Z370-A).

Do I need to get a seperate pci USB 2 card and which one?

Thank you very much!!!

No not if the onboard works. If it does not work straight away first try the legacy firewire driver (google its a microsoft download and read the instruction). My onboard firewire always worked perfectly.

Ooooops, then even more so, since you have an Intel based mobo, the usb2 ports from intel are perfect. Also from experience...
If you do get issues just make sure it is in unshared port. You can check that in device Manager if you choose view on connection
