Topic: Apple M1 Max + Fireface UFX+ macOS Monterey driver not loading

I've been using my Fireface UFX+ for years without any issues in Windows and Mac with intel chips but now I have an issue after latest Monterey update.

Basically I can't get the driver to load no matter what.

I have tried deleting all kext-consent entries

and manually added the team identifier

but still no luck

I've always had issues finding posts related to Fireface UFX+ I think it should have it's own category.

I've learnt that its product it's under MADI/AES premium line, don't know why hmm but anyway the solution was in this post

I had to update the firmware first and install the thunderbolt beta drivers and it works now!

Where did you find the thunderbolt beta drivers? Are they the same as the USB 4.x drivers found in the thread you linked?

I have exactly the same issues with UFX Plus and M 1 (Pro/Max) Monterey 12.5.1 and I’m afraid that the next macOS versions will be not compatible at all with UFX Plus that’s why after 10 days struggling with the driver i had to send it back to the store
I challenge anyone who will tell me the opposite UFX Plus has huge issues with macOS 12.5.1 and yes RME should make a special forum for UFX Plus as i said i sent it back and back to my old UCX but now im thinking to change everything
Oh yes why i can’t post a new (own thread)  anyway?? specially when it comes to UFX Plus and macOS

I tested Ventura beta and the old Kernel Extension drivers were still working on my M1s.
But that was updating from Monterey.
Fresh install my be different, perhaps.

As i said the big issue under 12.5.1 and UFX Plus is that Apple removed many drivers and i think UFX Plus ist among this issue and im afraid that this will take a while in case there’s a solution for it
Before i did the update everything was fine and i think UFX Plus is the best sounding audio interface i ever used in my last 16 years on making music i wish will be a happy end for this

I'm still using the old Thunderbolt and USB drivers on 12.5.1
No need to upgrade to beta Driverkit stuff if you want to work with RME gear.

Cigame, you are my only hope - can you share which exact version names (links if you have) to each download you are referring to here? I am on Monterey 12.5.1 M1, flying around in the dark here trying to figure out which to download, have tried a bunch of options and am seemingly coming up short.
