I have the ADI-2 FS in for a tryout.
Is there a way to mute the main outputs and just listen using the headphone output?
I have read the section 6.4 in the manual [Variable Output Level] -- and this seems to make some volume adjustments there, but not mute the Main outs totally, and just hearing the headphone output.
Can this be done in total mix?

Totalmix is not available for this unit.
Searching the user manual for "mute" reveals one hit :
Mute relays on XLR and Phones Out...
Unfortunately no further instructions how to mute.
The user manual may need an update for your topic.

The ADI-2 FS does not have this option and does not support TotalMix.
A switched power strip could power down the speakers when listening to headphones.
Alternatively an analog audio switch could do the job and might even extended the monitor capabilities.

Thanks for the info, and the way to control the monitor.
I do like the sound of the ADI-2 FS - and the only hangup is turning of the mains monitors as needed, so a switch would probably do the trick.

The Mackie Big Knob Passive could be a good solution too.
• Big Knob feed with fixed level from ADI-2 FS (manual page 7), to control the monitors.
• ADI-2 FS’s volume control set to independently control headphones level.
Or there is remote a controlled powerstripe. I use it as I do not want co crawl below the desk.... It is called PowerCube.
