Topic: Fireface UFX III AES "single speed" clock problem via AES
Hi everyone!
Hi I am a new user of the UFX III.
I bought this device mainly because of the AES port (via XLR) to use it to transmit data to TC Electronic Finalizer Express.
This particular device works in two sample rates: 44 and 48 kHz.
Before purchasing, I read that the UFX III has a so-called Sinlge Speed mode, which the manual describes as follows:
"Single Speed causes the output signal to always stay within the range of 32 kHz to 48 kHz. So at 96 kHz and 192 kHz sam-
ple rate, the output word clock is 48 kHz"
And this is how I planned to work - in a 96 kHz session, having TC Electronic Finalizer Express in mode at 48kHz in "single speed" mode
However, this mode DOES NOT WORK in my case and TC Electronic Finalizer Express does not synchronize (No lock)
Is this problem known?
I am only after purchase, I can still return the device.
regards,
