Topic: [Solved] Dgiface usb connecting to jriver

Hi

I have am running a test signal into jriver wdm via digiface usb to measure speaker convolution filter

I can get tidal etc. to play on jriver  wdm and on windows sound settings for recording it shows a signal in  but not on jriver playback
The ipc is activated on jriver and a connection to merging happi dac flashes up when started but there is no sound

I have digiface set as straight payback and it shows signal on input adat and main

the annoying  thing is I have had this working a long time ago and cant get it now

Its almost like a volume setting but I have everything at 100%

any advice appreciated

thanks
Phil

In Totalmix middle row software playback channels, is there no signal ?

Re: [Solved] Dgiface usb connecting to jriver

I have it set on simple playback so there is no middle row... I assumed this was the simplest as I am just coverting spidf to usb. ( i think its called daw setting ) In any case sound bars show on  windows sound in setting although at quite low volume

The DAC is flashing but no sound is coming out of it.
Is there a way you can check the DAC ? When you disconnect the toslink cable is it flashing on or stops ?
In the Fireface settings is the Adat port Adat or SPDIF ?
In the Hapi : is the Adat module switched to SPDIF ? Page 88 in the Hapi user manual.
And that signal is routed to the output ( in the Hapi configuration) ?

At the Digiface you can do a cable loopback test to see the signal is provided

Hi Waedi

thanks for taking an interest I have discovered that  I need to open  Jriver    file, then open live,  to remind it that it was set on asio in - It must need refreshing from time to time

all good now
