Topic: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

in the past few weeks i had changed many stuff in totalmix and also switched from hdsp pci card to hdspe pcie card (bus powered).
i always have 1 default preset and i dont change anything!
but sometimes things happen that should not happen.

some days ago "hardware input" "analog channel 8" appeared on the right channel of "main out (headphones)"
and today the left channel of the "hardware output" "spdif" disappeared.

in all cases i had to exit and restart totalmix again.

i used 4.46 and 4.47 driver.

is this a known problem?

Pics or it didn't happen... Sorry, what I was trying to say is would you perhaps happen to have some screenshots? :-)
Or could you save a snapshot/workspace when this happens?

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

Hi,
now the bug happened again. and again only while i was making changes to my totalmix settings.
I made a video showing that matrix is empty on analog channel output 1/2 but it has sound on right side.
Then i restart total mix and when i switch from "traktor" snapshot back to "default" it has only sound on left side.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhmAEa-VAUI

Here are .xml files from user/local/totalmixfx folder and snapshot + workspace:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qtdatvdu … t=6jrvpg9g

Edit: now i switched between snapshots "default" and "traktor" many many times and it resulted in this picture:
https://s20.directupload.net/images/240704/g44xd2c8.jpg
Once i changed snapshots again, all got back to normal.
Even after another 100 times it didnt happen again.
Really strange sad

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

Your desription seems to miss one important information. Is this just a level meter issue, or is that audio really missing at the Multiface output? And you are on TM FX 1.93 now?

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

Audio is also missing.
Its 4.46 driver with TM 1.84.
I also tried 4.47 but had the same problem, so i tried 4.46 again.

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

Please download and use v 448 which comes with TM FX 1.95 and check the issue is still there:

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

Edit: I will try 4.48 later.

Now i completely removed 4.46 inkl all registry entries and user/local files.
Then i installed 4.47 + 1.93 and i recreated my "workspace" from scratch by hand (no xml copied or importd workspace, etc)
then i switch between snapshot 1 + 2  (snap1 = like the picture, snap 2 = 100% empty matrix) with F5 and F6 key and sometimes i only get 1 channel:

Ok, I will try to reproduce this using your TM FX files. But it will take a few days.

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

Yep.
Made another video with 4.47.

https://youtu.be/fR2thA9IZXc
In 7 Minutes i got the error 5x.

I just switch snapshots with f5/f6, and enable/disable totalmix by clicking the traybar symbol (i had a feeling that the error comes more often when i open totalmix, but i think its only placebo).
Tomorrow i'll test 4.48 and also start a test with the other pci cards + 2nd multiface and/or rpm. smile

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

PLX PCI2PCIe Brücke + PCI Karte Rev 1.8 +  Multiface 1 (10 Meter Kabel) = KEIN BUG.

02:43 (kurz): https://youtu.be/_CGfBP_5cuo?t=162
03:19: https://youtu.be/_CGfBP_5cuo?t=197
03:49 (kurz): https://youtu.be/_CGfBP_5cuo?t=227
04:07 (kurz): https://youtu.be/_CGfBP_5cuo?t=245
04:31: https://youtu.be/_CGfBP_5cuo?t=268

SRY. Zu faul zum übersetzen gerad. smile

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

Firmware aller Karten ist der neuste Stand (PCIe 21, PCI 1.8 55).
Kann das an der "DriverKit" Firmware liegen?

EDIT: Eben Downgrade der PCIe auf 20 gemacht. Aber BUG noch vorhanden. sad

Re: 1 channel missing or added. total mix exit/restart fixes it.

I saw that one channel output effect one time on at least 100 switches (HDSPe ExpressCard with Multiface). It's pretty clear what happened - the routing is not set correctly when loading the Snapshot. The question is why. We will have a look, but I can't promise anything.

I tried to mail directly, but got no response. A 'fix' is included in TM FX 1.96 b4:

52 mins video with 1 switch per second (this time autohotkey did it) @ 16x speed playback speed and all looks fine.
