Topic: RemoteFish not detecting 2 Pulse 16MX on MacOS Sonoma

Greetings,

I recently switched over to MacOS from Windows 10 and for some reason RemoteFish no longer detects both of my Pulse 16MX ? the optical cabling is the same as it was before on PC and RemoteFish showed me both of my units.

Anyone experience this issue ?

My UFX III still sees all of my MADI I/O so it does seem to work ok, I have to test it out to confirm.

I"ll post in the FerroFish forum as well, just thought I'd ask here in case someone else has seen this issue / resolved it.

Totalmix
menu Options / Settings

change Midi Ports to 3 or 4

Also use the same Midi Port in the remotefish.

Re: RemoteFish not detecting 2 Pulse 16MX on MacOS Sonoma

I am using a Pulse 16 MX as well (with a UFX+ via MADI) and Remote Fish often doesn't connect.
Luckily I rarely need Remote Fish and it is working good enough for initial setup and occasional setup changes.

Re: RemoteFish not detecting 2 Pulse 16MX on MacOS Sonoma

So I also just moved from windows to mac and I'm having the same issue.  I have 2x Pulse 16XM with a RME madiface USB.  In windows they both show up in remote fish but on Mac on 1 shows up.  I reached out to ferrofish support but no solution.  Anyone here have any idea?

Re: RemoteFish not detecting 2 Pulse 16MX on MacOS Sonoma

I just heard from Ferrofish that this is a limitation of their Mac app. Only one unit can be controlled per MIDI port. You would need independent 5-pin MIDI cable connections from a MIDI interface to each unit.

Each Pulse16 unit must have a physical connection to the MIDI interface and the USB-Interface needs to show up with seperate I/Os (drivers) for each physical I/O.
