Topic: Digifaceusb and Mackie control.

Hello Folks:

As a blind user, I am wanting to assign my XTouch to control my Digifaceusb. The Xtouch is working well with my Babyface Pro FS but I can't connect the XTouch to the Digifaceusb.

If someone will help me with this, I would appreciate it all over the place.

Re: Digifaceusb and Mackie control.

How did it work with the Babyface ?
Make the same for Digiface.
There is no difference between Babyface and Digiface USB regarding controller integration.
May be you have to close Totalmix Babyface and let open Totalmix Digiface.

Re: Digifaceusb and Mackie control.

Hi Waedi:

Thanks again for your response.

My XTouch works well with my Babyface Pro FS, but I get no response from the Digifaceusb using the XTouch, even with the same settings of the Babyface Pro FS.

On another point:  using the keyboard, how do I switch between the Babyface and the Digifaceusb?

Thanks all over the place.

I'm not aware of any keyboard shortcut for flipping Totalmix.
In your situation I would simply disconnect the USB cable from the Babyface

Re: Digifaceusb and Mackie control.

On Mac? And you use Totalmix?

If yes, should be quite easy:

1) switch between the Babyface and the Digifaceusb:

- In TM open your BF and and DF at the same time (you should get 2 windows)
- In TM select Window - Merge all Windows (you should get one Window with two tabs)
-> with ^+TAB (Ctrl+TAB) you can switch between the BF and DF Tab(window)

2) controlling both (BF and DF) with one Mackie Controller

For both Tabs (BF and DF Units) select exact the same MIDI Settings for each unit: in TM: Options - Settings - MIDI:
- F.ex: Controller 1
- Checkbox "In use" enabled
- the same MIDI IN/Out Port (according to your your XTouch)
- Enable Protocol Support
- enable Checkbox "Disable MIDI in background" - this is the most important, as only the active tab will/should communicate with your xTouch
- rest here according to your needs
- click OK
- in TM: Options - Enable MIDI Control

Should work now.
