Topic: Room EQ Totalmix for Babyface Pro Fs

Hello,
I am the owner of both the ADI-2 DAC FS R and the Babyface Pro FS. The ADI device has the ability to create an EQ correction for my Sennheiser HD 600 headphones, which is a very useful feature. However, when working with the Babyface Pro FS, I noticed that the EQ only allows for a 3-band adjustment in Totalmix. I would like to have the ability to use more bands when adjusting the EQ on the Babyface Pro FS as well.
Is there a possibility to add an additional EQ band when working with my Babyface Pro FS to create EQ corrections similar to the ADI-2 DAC? If so, could a request be made for this feature to be included in a future version of TotalMix?

Besides maggie's quote for

— reference converter (ADI-2 DAC/Pro FS, ADI-2/4 Pro
— recording interface which supports RoomEQ, e.g., UCX II

I have an additional idea. You could try a combination of Plugin Host (e.g. LiveProfessor 2) and VST (e.g. Fabfilter Pro Q3). In the DAW you can use a VST/EQ directly.

Thank you for answer and Yes, I know about approach to use some external VST , but main reason what I want to have its use native Totalmix EQ correction for main output, since it support 3 EQ band, I thought that maybe possibe use more then 3 bands.
I want to use devices independently of each other. In a case when my ADI dac on one play and when I in field or traveling I use babyface pro fs with EQ correction like on ADI DAC

Re: Room EQ Totalmix for Babyface Pro Fs

I think there is a workaround by using loopback to get double the amount of eq. You’ll have to search or someone else will answer. I use SoundID so I never bothered.

Babyface Pro Fs, Behringer ADA8200, win 10/11 PCs, Cubase/Wavelab, Adam A7X monitors.

Re: Room EQ Totalmix for Babyface Pro Fs

yes, although the loopback function of total mix only loops back to the inputs in a daw (to avoid dangerous feedback within total mix).
you could make a hardware loopback, maybe you don't use your optical outputs?
You could go out and back in, with a cable like this: https://www.elevatorsound.com/product/e … edOYNoft3u

Re: Room EQ Totalmix for Babyface Pro Fs

using loopback to get double the amount of eq it's a real good idea.

But I really think that it would be a good opportunity in Totalmix to have the ability to do equalization on the master, up to 8 Bands even with the power of CPU on the PC or Mac.
