Topic: Sonarworks Headphone Corrective EQ in TotalMix?

Hi all,

I was wondering if the headphone corrective EQ profiles generated by Sonarworks could be loaded to headphone output channels in TotalMix (of the UFX III)?

I didn’t see anything explicitly written about this in the manual so I figured I’d ask here.

I’m assuming it would be the same as applying the room corrective EQ to a normal output?

Thanks in advance,

Phil

Thanks for this!

Unfortunately, it says it does not support headphone calibration.

Can anyone from RME comment on whether or not TotalMix will support headphone calibration from Sonarworks in the future?

Thanks again,
Phil

Re: Sonarworks Headphone Corrective EQ in TotalMix?

Why do you want to ask RME? It sounds more like a limitation of Sonarworks, read the Sonarworks FAQ again:

Can I export a headphone calibration profile too?
No, only speaker profile export is supported.

If you look at the TM FX phones outputs:
you see there RoomEQ and the same functions (including import and export) like on any other HW output.

You can do it manually if you want: https://www.reddit.com/r/oratory1990/wi … f_presets/

Once again, this is really helpful. I’m considering purchasing a UFX III, and I don’t have the product to see “Room EQ” on the headphones at the moment.

Not an issue if I have to input the profiles manually. That’s not a concern on my end.

Once again, I’m trying to learn the Sonarworks product in conjunction with RME.

Thanks for your patience, and hopefully this thread helps out others in the same boat!

So it looks like we can put in the Sonarworks headphone correction by using the “Room EQ” option.., but manually. That’s awesome.

Cheers,
Phil
