Topic: Digiface Dante - Audio Drop outs, when MADI ONLY connected

Hi ,

When connecting only MADI while Dante network is down, I'm having audio drop-outs.

Whenever I plug in a ethernet cable, it sees an uplink and audio drop-outs seem to be gone.

Anyone else having this issue?

Ive updated everything to the latest firmwares, softwares.
Im recording on a Windows machine with Reaper.

What about clock synchronization in both cases? Which devices are wired digitally or with WC? How are the devices set for clock synchronization and what do the status messages look like in both cases (with/without Dante)?

Mixing desk Digico SD5 is clock master, Digiface Dante is slaving via MADI from SD5 and is receiving audio via "COPY AUDIO".

Clock sync settings are MADI COAXIAL: 64ch/48K Frame.

Input Status report the MADI is "SYNC".

Dante network is "down".

Hey Rob,
did you ever figure this out?
I just unboxed a Digiface Dante and am using it with the original USB cable on my windows 10 machine and have occasional audio drop outs. Also latest driver, firmware. Just listening to Spotify/YouTube/System Audio... any ideas?
