Topic: Updates and Trouble

Hi, I'm having an issue with my computer where sometimes the volume gets a bit lower, and then the screen seems to restart itself for a second (it completely turns off and on), and then suddenly the volume goes up too.

I suspect it's related to the sound card (UCX II) because that's where the sound is coming from.
So first, I updated the driver and firmware, and I have a few questions:

1. After the updates, how do I know if the updates were successful? and where can i check that is the last and correct version
2. In the computer's sound settings, I can choose between Speakers/Analog 3+4/Analog 5+6. I've always been on Speakers. Could this be the problem?
3. What else could it be if this continues and it's not the sound card?

Re: Updates and Trouble

The Fireface USB Settings dialog shows the current version of firmware and driver of your system.
Read out the version numbers and compare with the product page driver section.
Or post here and we will let you know if it is up-to-date.

Is the screen a desktop monitor connected to a Windows computer ?

Did you open the computer housing and clean out the dust ?
May be the graphics card is overheating or the internal power supply of the computer is getting broke ?

Re: Updates and Trouble

The Fireface USB Settings is a program, like Totalmix it should be start by the icon in the tray at the bottom or use the search field in Windows.

Re: Updates and Trouble

You can try connect the loudspeakers to another port and adapt the speaker settings in the computer.
Are these loudspeakers active monitors ?
Sure they work correct ? They could fail when getting hot...
