i have fireface800  bought it  9 month ago,
i have a problem, and im in panic.....
the preamp input (#8) have a self noise (its happen in stand alone mode to)
kind of a strong static noise,
i really didnt expect to have a problem like that in instrument like that,
pls i need a fast solution

THANK YOU

Re: ff800 pre amp noise problem

More details, please...

How much of a noise is there, compared to the other mic inputs at the same gain setting? What levels does Totalmix show?

If it's a hardware issue, there is not much of an alternative to sending the unit in for service/repair. Where are you located?

Re: ff800 pre amp noise problem

hello sir,
im from israel,

its a dominant noise, when the gain knob is about 35 the signal light is showing,
when on full vol the total mix showing about 5db,
do you think that the warranty covered a case like that?
thanks for the fast post

Re: ff800 pre amp noise problem

Does this occur with and without cables connected to the input? What about line input number 8 (switch the input to rear)?

If the unit is under warranty, of course this will be repaired free of charge. Did you purchase the FF in Israel also?
