Topic: BSOD with FF400/FF800 under Win7 64x latest firmware and drivers
Having major problems using either my FF400 or FF800 on a Vaio S11V9E. Laptop is up to date with all windows and vaio updates, and performs the same using either the inbuilt FW400 mini socket (Rioch FW chipset) or an Expresscard FW800 TI chipest.
Running latest firmware (as of 03/04/10) on both FF400 and FF800 and latest driver 2.9998.
Basically both devices seem unstable. BSOD occurs whenever I try to dismount either FF400 or FF800, or if the FW cable gets 'accidentally' pulled out without dismounting. With FF400, BSOD occurs after the device has been mounted for more than about 30 minutes.
System spec:
Win7 64x pro edition
4gb ram
i5 processor
Mobile Intel HM55 Express chipset
NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics card
On the FF400 I get the following BSOD message:

At the moment, both devices are essentially unusable. Anyone got any ideas? I'm pretty desperate for a solution- as I have a lot of gigs coming up.
