Topic: Use MBox spdif as extra 2 pre's with fireface???

I have fface 800 and an mbox2, I run logic 9 with the fface.

i am needing some more pre's to add for guides when tracking.  i have an old mbox 2.

Is it possible to link the mbox 2 via spdif to the fface and use the mbox pre's as spdif inputs?

I think not as there is no way to sync the two units?  Mbox 2 has no word clock or adat etc.

Any help appreciated.

If you can't clock the mbox externally, it will have to operate as master (FF on Autosync). Otherwise it should work...

Thanks for reply.
I would then have the mbox as master and the fface 800 as slave?  Which wouldn't be good.

Not really something to worry about, especially since the FF has got Steadyclock...
