Topic: lighpipe output only outputs16 bit resolution...by design?

Hi,

I'm using the optical output in SPDIF mode on my FF400 to send a digital signal to a field recorder (Sony PCM-D50). It works great, except the D-50 only detects a 16 bit signal. The D-50 is a 24 bit recorder, and it auto detects the bit-depth.

Does the lightpipe output just not suppport 24 bits due to the format, or have I screwed something up somewhere?

I'm uising the latest driver and ROM. I've experienced the issue under both Windows as well as OSX.

I'd appreciate any help...it's a drag to only get 16 bit.
