Topic: Fireface Mixer 2.71 Re-draw Errors

When changing presets on 2.71 (FF800 - it also happened with the previous version) the re-draw of the mixer isn't always correct. I can't for example click on "8" reliably. It moves around... as do some other numbers (like "4").

While I'm on the subject. Can you assign a keyboard shortcut for "talkback"? It would be truly wonderful if you could.

Thanks for continuing work on the most stable, reliable interface, I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

This sounds to me like a graphic card issue...

The targets (click points) move with the display errors. It's a bug in the software.

I can't remember the last time I had a graphics card issue on any of our Mac Pros. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it certainly isn't the case here. I can repeat the issue on other Mac workstations as well.

If this is a bug in the software where are the other users revealing the same issue?

Because only one company is reporting the issue doesn't mean it's not an issue. Tact goes a long way my dear. Why so combative?

It occurs on:

Mac Pro 1,1 w/ ATI 3870 10.5.8 (32bit)
Mac Pro 1,1 w/ 7300GT 10.5.8 (32bit)
MacBook Pro 4,1 w 8600M GT 10.5.8 (32bit)

Can anyone else on a mac running 2.71 click on their 1-8 preset buttons (in the Fireface Mixer) to confirm? Watch for the 4 and 8 buttons to move over to the left when active. Also note that you cannot click on the right half of the buttons 4 & 8 when selecting those presets. (I normally use the keyboard shortcuts, but still a bug is a bug.)

Hi,

if you talking about Presets button in Fireface Mixer, Yes
check with the Zoom built in OSX
click on Preset 1, 2, 3, 4 etc and zoom in
on the graphic display, here on my MBP
with Nvidea 8600 Preset 1 and 5 looks normal when enabled
but 2,3,4 and 6,7,8 does moves more and more to the left side when enabled

I have not seen this on Windows !

I think it's a testament to your products that in the 4 years we've had a FF800 (used almost daily) the only issue I ever found was this one.

But about that keyboard shortcut for talkback.... wink

Hi Folks,

Blimey, that was a quick fix! Does this include what I have been seeing after installing 2.71? The clip hold on all meters sporadically illuminate on all channels of the mixer, even ones with no inputs. I am using the Logic skin. It seemed to happen when I had a plugin interface over the mixer and was tweaking knobs.
