Topic: HDSP 9632 pci, strange dark sound after updating

After updating to latest firmware/drivers (revision 154/3085) something weird has happened to my card. Its sound has become dark and slow, like the clock frequency has been locked to a wrong value (32 kHz?). I have tried different settings in the driver (DDS), but nothing is happening. I have also tried to go back to earlier firmware and drivers and installed the card on another computer, with same result. Sound will not change. Apparently the card is not able to receive the right frequency value (?). This is a really a big mystery to me, and I would be most greatful if you have a solution!

Both computers run on windows xp, sp3.

Did you switch off the PC after the update?

That has nothing to do with firmware or driver, it's a hardware failure and needs repair.

Re: HDSP 9632 pci, strange dark sound after updating

I live in Norway and bought the card in an eBay shop about 3-4 years ago. I do not remember the name, but I believe the shop was located in Netherland or France...
