Topic: FireFace UC - can we have a 32 Sample Buffer setting for Win ?

Hi

In an upcoming FFUC  Windows driver update, can we please get:-

- a 32 Sample Buffer setting  [ not just 48 Samples ]

and

- a  "slider"  to progresivley reduce the Safety Buffer  from   32 Samples to 0

So this means this is a limitation for all USB audio-interface manufacturers on windows systems?

Just one idea:

Did you ever internal tested at RME to use your USB products with one ExpressCard/ USB 3.0 adapter? Does it makes sense at all?

The idea to this would be to use the fast pci express slot for the USB interfaces in USB 3.0 mode. Is this possible? Are there potentially Sample Buffer Size settings feasible less then 48 samples?

Like I said just one idea.

The problem with 32 samples not working stable comes from the basic USB design (1 ms blocks). So using a USB 3 adapter will not change that, it stays USB 2.
