Topic: Recording other software's output

Hi, I have FF800 and would like to use Kontakt 4 as standalone sampler (not as plug-in) and Cubase 4 Essential as audio recorder only. I control the Kontakt 4 instruments with external sequencer (AKAI MPC4000). I can't figure out how to set up the FF's Matrix mixer & Cubase to get the audio from Kontakt into Cubase. Please help.
Thank you

Re: Recording other software's output

The loopback feature will do the trick. See manual, "recording a subgroup".

Re: Recording other software's output

I was having a problem doing this, even after reading the manual (RTFM)! however I did figure it out and it is possible. you can read this post for how to manage it:

it should give you what you need...

New Mac Pro, 16 GB RAM, Antelope Orion32, ProTools 11, UAD Octo, Tonelux OTB 16, and lots of toys...
