Topic: FF800 has high frequency "clicking" with 3.030 driver
With this driver, there is a high frequency clicking sound during audio playback. Reverting to 3.028 solves it for me.

Where does this occur? What is the unit's serial number and firmware version?

1. Analoog 1/2 out
2.firmware version 2.77
It occurs in cubase whit 48khz but not whit 44khz
Which outputs are affected? Does the click appear in Totalmix, too?

It is on al out puts is sounds like an echo
Look at Cubase 5.5.1 / Divece setup / Asio fireface / Controle panel / Sampel rate is not working
is i listen in foobare at it is oke
Firmware is 2.77.
I'm not sure where to look for the serial#, but there is a bar-code sticker on the back that indicates 22411369.
It sounds almost like a digital sync problem. Similar to what I've heard before when my Mackie Onyx 800R was connected via ADAT optical but Word Clock was not correctly configured.
Hello,
we need some more feedback on this, please. Affected units are Fireface 800 only? Problem only in 48 kHz, not in 44.1? Problem on other channels than 1/2? After installing 3.030, did you go through the Settings dialog and changed the buffer sizes a few times? What is your buffer size and is the click on other buffer sizes too?
Is it possible to record this click sound and post a screenshot of its waveform? Envelope and length will give us hints where to look.
Thanks a lot.
I was seeing the problem at 44.1KHz. My buffer size was initially 128 samples. I set it to 1024 samples and the problem was still apparent.
I'll try to test it more and give as much information as I can.
1.Freface800
2.All channels
3.Cubase 5.5.1
4.no problem in foobar and Wavlab 6
5.no differens on buffers settings
6.it looks like echo sound
Psychosurf, you used WaveLab 6 in ASIO? If so, try to disable all channels except 2 ins and outs in the I/O dialog (F4) of Cubase. Maybe this effect depends on the number of ASIO channels in use.
1. I used wavelab 8 in asio no problem
2. I tryt to disableing all channels except 1/2 no differns
Can you please give test driver version 3.031 a try?
