Topic: Connect Babyface to AES/EBU

Hi,
I have an Apogee Mini Me D/A A/D converter , with AES/EBU connector. Can I connect it to Babyface?
Best regards

Re: Connect Babyface to AES/EBU

Hello,
I'm not RME but own a Babyface, too.

If you want to connect it digitally, this cannot be done without a converter.
You would need to have a converter that has AES31 (AES/EBU) and optical Toslink SPDIF connection - and this in the right direction (you didn't write if you want to use the minime as input AD or output DA device).

Hermann

Re: Connect Babyface to AES/EBU

Thank you very much hermste,
I want to use Mini Me as input. Unfortunately it has coaxial spdif and aes/ebu ports only, no optical out.

Converters optical to coaxial SPDIF are easy to find and cheap, as they do not include active signal processing.
