Is the old expansion card AI4S-192 compatible with the HDSPe AIO ? Thanks.

Some expansions will need a small modification. You can mail me the AI4S' serial number to be sure.

Please contact your retailer or the french distributor (SCV), if you purchased the card in France. The card can be modified.

That page clearly states:

Note: AI4S-192 and AO4S-192 (without the suffix AIO) do work only with the HDSP 9632. The current Expansion Boards with the suffix AIO work with both cards.

I also would like my AI4S-192 and AO4S-192 expansions to work with the HDSPe AIO card. I have been trying to solve this issue through email without success.

I have been in touch with Studiotec who are clueless to the possibility of such mods. They further verified from Audio AG's Michael Hoepp - another link in this Kafkaesque chain - that "this mod is not financially sensible because it would be so expensive compared to buying new expansions instead".

I have initially even offered to do this modification myself - being experienced electrical engineer with SMD experience and tooling. But info on the modification is not available apparently.

Other than being inspired to read more Kafka, what exactly am I supposed to do now?
