Topic: Totalmix high CPU use under XP3

Hi,

I'm experiencing high 40-50% CPU use (core2duo 2ghz) totalmix.exe in the task manager when the totalmix window is open. The cpu usage is less when the totalmix window is closed but i thinks is still high.. sometimes it jumps to 16-18%.



Can i close the totalmix.exe in the task manager after setting my routing preset?

I know i will not able to use the eq /dsp things but the system will be stable?

Your statement makes no real sense. You must be using a UFX (as you mention EQ). That one does not start totalmix.exe, but TotalMixFX.exe. If so you can indeed exit TM FX completely after having everything set up correctly.

Sorry, that is TotalMixFX.exe with babyface and not totalmix.exe.

Opening an Ableton project with 8 vst effected track need less CPU use than the TotalMix Fx.
