Topic: Noise from XLR inputs on RME FF800 w.phantom and condenser mics

Hello to everyone, sorry for my poor english...
For some time I have this strange problem with all my XLR frontal inputs on my FF800: I can normally use them with dynamic mics (with or without phantom power enabled on the input), but if I try to use them with condenser mics (phantom enabled), a very loud noise is heard and the channel is unusable.
I've tried almost everything: I used four different XLR cables, three condenser mics, upgraded firmware and drivers to the latest version available for my OS (Windows XP).

Do you hear the noise if you switch on 48v with no mic/cable attached?

I fed this noise to a special "Alien voice to text decoder" and the output was: I NEED A REPAIR DeadHorse

Did you get this sorted we are having the same problem really disappointed with this interface.

In both  cases, this is likely to be a hardware issue requiring repair. Either of the units still under warranty?
