Topic: Micstasy remote control problem: can only control 1 unit
I have two demo Micstasys for testing.
Here is my chain:
Yamaha 01v96v2 MIDI in/out -> RME ADI-648 fiber out -> Micstasy #1 fiber out -> Micstasy #2 back to -> ADI-648.
Micstasy #1 has internal clock selected, Micstasy #2 clock source via MADI.
Micstasy #1 has Auto ID on, ID 1 and bank 1.
Micstasy #2 has auto ID off, ID 2 and bank 1.
I am using the following SYSeX commands to have the faders control gain for channel 1: F0 00 20 0D 68 00 20 00 FAD 01 00 F7 END
And for channel 9: F0 00 20 0D 68 01 20 00 FAD 01 00 F7 END
Doing so, control of Micstasy #1 works as it should, no problems. BUT: I get no response from Micstasy #2.
If i plug a MIDI cable directly from the mixer to Micstasy #2 and change the remote option from OPTN to MIDI, remote control via the 01v96v2 works.
I've also tried using a computer with a MIDI interface and get the same results: it doesn't work when trying to control via chained MADI, but it does work with a direct MIDI connection.
Please let me know what needs to be done to get control of more than one unit via MIDI over MADI.
Thanks!
David
