Topic: Cascading of two HDSP 9652 in a PC

Hi there

Found nothing in the archive here, so my question is:

Is it posible to cascade two HDSP 9652 cards to get 6 ADAT I/O and
do they work under DIGICheck and Hammerfall DSP?

Thanks,

Franky

Re: Cascading of two HDSP 9652 in a PC

Ok, here my last question:

I wanna set up these cards on a pentium 4 motherboard with a plain Windows XP on it to run this PC only as a 48 channel Multitrack recorder. Is there any recommendation regarding usable chipset, motherboard brand ec. ec. ?

I dont wanna buy twice. ;-)

Thanks in Advance,

Franky

If you make it a core 2 duo, which will be just as cheap, I have advice. P45 or p35 chipset. DDR2 800 ram, cheap dualcore cpu. These chipsets also have sata which will be much better for the HD´s.
Oh and good working PCI slots.

Hi everybody

Just a last report. System runs perfectly without a doubt.
Facts: plain Windows XP pro, Intel core 2 duo, Gigabyte GA-Q35M-S2 motherboard, 2GB RAM, 160GB IDE main HDD, 1TB SATA data HDD, 2 x HDSP 9652 boards connectet via TOSlink to 3 x Apogee AD converter AD16. Newest HDSP drivers and DIGIcheck 5.51.

Recordet all 52 tracks around 3 h at 24bit/48KHz. HD load: 5%!!!

Thanks for all the good hints,

Franky
