Hello,
a new firmware is available for the Fireface UC. Version 88 fixes: In Quad Speed operation SMUX4 did not work. The mic gain fader position of channel 1 sometimes changed on ASIO start. In QS mode the analog input channel 1 (mic) did not work correctly.
We released firmware 91 which fixes problems with the pitch fader and SPDIF output channel status.
We also released a combined Mac driver for the Fireface UC (version 1.14), that should work in 10.5 32 bit, 10.6 32 bit and 10.6 64 bit.
The new Mac driver 1.16 adds support for sleep mode and provides the updated TotalMix design.
The new Mac driver 1.17 fixes a state problem at Double and Quad Speed after Standby.
Version 0.936 for Windows fixes the broken ASIO Direct Monitoring support.
Version 0.938 improves standby operation (possible even when WDM and ASIO are active) and WDM related channel configurations (Loudspeaker, surround).
Firmware 111 is now identical on Mac and Windows. It adds USB 3 compatibility (not functionality!) and 24 bits for SPDIF consumer status.
Fireface UC: Firmware 112 fixes a problem in stand-alone mode where the sample rate was not set correctly (note: 111 is shown as up-to-date in the FUT, disregard that).
Windows driver 0.959 adds official support for Fireface UFX with TotalMix 0.91. The Fireface UC will use TM FX as well starting with this driver.
Attention Fireface UC! The former TotalMix autorun entry is not deleted by the driver, therefore has to be deleted by the user before (or after) the driver update. Remove the entry

The most easiest and safest way to do this is to double-click on the file
remove old mixer autostart.reg
which is found within the driver archive. Windows will then remove the autostart of the old mixer. (Note: if you downloaded the driver before please download again, the reg file is now included).
Windows driver 0.961 and Mac driver 1.48 continue our current update mania. The latest UFX FireWire firmware is now also found in the Mac flash tool.
Windows driver 0.964 includes TotalMix FX 0.924 and a bugfix when using multiple WDM devices. Mac driver 1.49 includes TotalMix FX 0.924.
Babyface Mac/Win: Firmware 1.79 activates Zero Crossing detection for the microphone gain stages (reduced clicks when changing gain with audio present), and removes a small bug in the USB core that fixes several compatibility issues, like compatibility to Mac OS < 10.5.8.
Fireface UFX: The DSP firmware has been updated from 110 to 111. Compressor/Expander were in stereo mode not coupled reliably, so worked in dual mono mode instead.
Fireface UFX: The DSP firmware has been updated from 111 to 112. V 112 had introduced a minor bug which has been fixed.
The latest driver is now 0.983 (Windows) and 1.58 (Mac). Lots of changes and improvements for FF UC, Babyface and UFX, see driver readme. The Direct USB Recording feature of the UFX is now officially released.

They bring a new TotalMix FX and new features for the UFX (as announced in this forum before, with DSP firmware 141).
A new Win/Mac DSP firmware for the UFX (v 144) fixes a serious bug with version 141. Please update!
Lots of news! New Win USB driver 1.019. New Mac USB driver 1.65. Both include TotalMix FX 0.963, several fixes, and support for the new Fireface UCX. This comes along with an updated firmware for the UFX (DSP 147) for Mac and Win, with further improvements and fixes.
The new Mac USB series driver 1.66 solves a small but annoying problem for the UFX and UCX: if the system sample rate is 44.1 kHz and the unit has been set to a different one (for example in stand-alone mode), then booting the Mac with the unit attached the sample rate was not set to 44.1 kHz. Fixed.
Windows 8 includes a new USB driver called xHCI (which also adds native USB 3 support). Our current USB driver crashes during installation under Windows 8. The soon to be released driver 1.020 should be fully compatible with Windows 8. If you want to (and can) try:

Driver 1.022 has now been released. It brings full Windows 8 XHCI compatibility and some minor fixes and improvements.
Mac USB driver 1.72 is now available on our website. It includes some nice changes: Supports multi-user operation, Changed buffer handling for 10.7.4, Fixes channel order in 10.7.4 (UFX), Installer signed for 10.8. The latter means that we tested the driver successfully with the current version of 10.8, but will not officially call it 'compatible' unitl the final OS has been released by Apple.
Windows (1.024) and Mac (1.73) drivers including TotalMix FX 0.983 have been uploaded to our website. The new Mac driver also fixes a problem of distortion/noise that occured only on some machines, and sometimes only after a longer time of usage.
Mac driver 1.75 fixes wrong channel order for the UFX (reintroduced in 1.73), has TotalMix FX 0.984, and fixes a TM disconnect problem after sleep under 10.6.8.
Windows driver 1.025 now includes TotalMix FX 0.984 which fixes D2D scaling problems.
Mac USB driver 1.76 is highly recomended for use with 10.8 and up, as it fixes several issues that had been reported in this forum, plus some others:
- Workaround for playback problem after sleep
- Bugfix crash when turning the encoder of UC/BF while the computer boots
- Fixed clock domain prevents the unnecessary use of sample rate conversion in multi-unit operation (Aggregated Devices)
- Red button in the Settings dialog closes the window
- Change: Device was sometimes not removed when disconnecting it under 10.8. This also caused wrong sample rates and playback device settings on reconnection.
- Further improved setting of the former sample rate on reconnection.
- Internal stream IDs optimized
- TotalMix FX 0.985: Bugfix disconnecting the UFX caused slow reaction when then other RME USB devices are connected. Open GL is now allowed to use alternative renderers.
We released firmware 201 for the Babyface, adding stand-alone mode and Class Compliant mode (iPad!). The firmware update tool also includes firmware 117 for the UC, which fixes an internal loopback problem with the ADAT channels.
Firmware 203 turns the flashing instrument input LED (which many people did not like) into a constantly lit one, but with reduced brightness. Only in CC and stand-alone mode, in normal operation the LED is off as before. Also a bug in the Mac firmware has been fixed that caused distortion on echo/reverb.
Latest drivers released on our website: Windows 1.028 and Mac 1.078, including the latest TotalMix FX 0.989.
Firmware 220/CC4 extends the UCX Class Compliant mode to 18 channels and 2 playback routing presets.
Windows USB driver 1.029 includes a small improvement where the Settings dialog's Lock registry option has been fixed.
Windows USB driver 1.030 fixes a small problem for few users with the computer hanging on shutdown.

Mac USB driver 1.86 includes TotalMix FX 0.99 as well as several improvements and optimizations.
Mac USB driver 1.93 brings these changes:
- Extended installer with previous and new (signed) driver for Mavericks
- Added workaround for unexpected opening of Settings under 10.9.1 on start
It also comes with TotalMix FX 0.997:
- Fixed crash when moving group fader and ‘FX Send to Main out’ was active
- Mic Gain CC MIDI control channel count now excludes hidden channels

Windows USB driver 1.043 brings these changes:
- Bug fix: MIDI input did not work after being used in stand-alone mode, required a power cycle of the unit to work again
- ASIO sample rate change did not work correctly in Pyramix
TotalMix FX 0.998:
- Improved Undo: Loading a Workspace after editing Snapshots removed the last edits from the undo buffer
- Several small fixes
- Compatible to the latest firmwares for the iPad app v 1.1
Mac USB driver 1.94 brings these changes:
- Bug fix: Removing the device while the computer is in standby mode and with playback active before sleep caused a crash upon wakeup under 10.9.x
TotalMix FX 0.998:
- Improved Undo: Loading a Workspace after editing Snapshots removed the last edits from the undo buffer

Mac USB driver 1.95 had been released on March 24 already. It included a further optimization after sleep mode, and came with TM FX 0.999, which has some specific fixes for the Mac side only.
Today Windows USB driver 1.046 now also includes TM FX 0.999 and these news:
- New: number of WDM devices can now be defined in the Settings dialog. A reduction accellerates the change of the sample rate, reduces the time of continued CPU load, brings quicker behavior on plugging and unplugging the unit, and reduces the boot time of Windows with connected interface. The best setting is 0, means no WDM devices at all. Only ASIO and MIDI are active then. A typical setting is 1 to 3 devices (WDM for Media Player etc.), also causing a much quicker behavior than full WDM channel count.
- Significantly improved performance on current computers at double and quad speed - smaller buffer size required for click-free operation with all channels. Affects all USB interfaces except the Babyface.
- TotalMix FX 0.999
- The current firmware update further improves performance and reliability, please update using RME's flash update tool!
- Note: this driver version requires DIGICheck version 5.71 or higher!
The Windows firmware updater further explains:
All USB interfaces: Possible sample offset when changing between single/double/quad speed and resulting performance problems fixed.
UFX only: Internal loopback did not work in some situations in quad speed with channel 16.
Windows USB driver 1.048 brings TotalMix FX 1.00 with some changes and bugfixes that we consider serious and urgent, although most users were not affected:
- Several bugfixes when loading workspaces (possible graphics problem after loading the same workspace multiple times; possible hang after multiple loading of workspaces with an Aux device setting; possible incorrect loading of Mac or iPad workspaces).
- Changed Channel Layout: removed column 'active'. The list now only shows the channels that are currently present, depending on the actual sample rate. This also fixes wrong channel names when using the option 'Count MADI Channels per port' with MADI devices.
- Global Trim Gains is now switched off with the Global Trim button only
Windows USB driver 1.050 brings some fixes and the latest TotalMix FX:
- ASIO latency offset of the 802 fixed
- General: ASIO latency offset includes 'DSP for record' option
- Changed sync behavior for external clocking (ASIO error message)
TotalMix FX 1.01:
- Fixed wrong display of the FX section under Windows XP
- Since 1.0 the LCD support of the Mackie Protocol was broken
Windows USB driver 1.053 comes with an unexpected improvement. So far the driver waited 374 ms after every call of ASIOSetSampleRate. This wait time has been removed. It might explain some crazy delay effects that were reported for quite some time with software like Sonar. Please check it out.
Windows USB driver 1.059 is now available.
- Supports simultaneous display of the Hardware Level in TotalMix FX and DIGICheck
TotalMix FX 1.03:
- Improved handling of the icon in the notification area

- The former option ’Word Clock Out - Always Single Speed’ now also influences the input sync. Word input can now change the interface’s sample rate between Single, Double and Quad Speed (Follow Clock).
- TotalMix FX 1.03: 3 brightness levels to adjust the display to the monitor (Options - Preferences or F2). CRM channel selection no longer limited (requires DSP firmware 33 with the MADIface XT). Small graphics glitch with Mute and Solo buttons fixed (Group and 135%). Stereo Gain control in channel 3/4 of the Fireface UC fixed.
Update 10/08/2014: 2.02 has been re-uploaded including TotalMix FX 1.04.
Mac USB driver 2.03 is now available.
- Changed timestamp generation in an attempt to improve long-term stability under 10.9.x
- Fixes crackling and stutter effects under OS 10.10, which showed up on a few systems
- TotalMix FX 1.05: MADIface USB did not show 128 input channels. Listenback volume was not stored. Some smaller fixes.
Mac USB driver 2.04 is now available:
- Reworked launch agents of Settings dialog and TotalMix FX
- TotalMix FX 1.07: CRM channel selection no longer limited for UC and Babyface. Note: still limited for Fireface UFX, UC and 802, as these also need a firmware update.

Windows USB driver 1.068 is now available. It comes with TotalMix FX 1.07 and brings these changes compared to the former 1.59 with TM FX 1.03:
- CRM channel selection no longer limited for UC and Babyface. Note: still limited for Fireface UFX, UC and 802, as these also need a firmware update.
- Volume of Listenback input is saved
- MIDI fixed for the newly supported 'old' interfaces, fixing also various related side effects
- Settings (F3) did not work correctly. Chosing specific Talkback/Listen channels could cause more trouble.
- Clear Submix (right mouse click) no longer deletes the submix of Talkback and Listen inputs

Windows USB driver 1.079 has been released, with support for the Babyface Pro and with TotalMix FX 1.11. See last post above for the changes in TotalMix FX.
Windows USB driver 1.080 and Mac USB driver 2.10 have been released with TotalMix FX 1.12.
Mac USB driver 2.10 has been reuploaded with a fixed installer working under 10.10.5.
