Mac driver 3.18 adds 10.9 compatibility and fixes a small rename preset bugin the old TotalMix. For newer devices TotalMix FX is updated to version 0.996.
And Mac driver 3.19 brings back 10.6 compatibility.
New Mac driver 3.21 brings these changes:
- Bug fix: Audio crackles when using multiple audio apps (example: video played by Safari while DAW still open)
- Added workaround for unexpected opening of Settings under 10.9.x on start
- Fixed specific crash caused by MIDI input data
- Extended installer with previous and new (signed) driver for Mavericks
It also comes with TotalMix FX 0.997:
- Fixed crash when moving group fader and ‘FX Send to Main out’ was active
- Mic Gain CC MIDI control channel count now excludes hidden channels
- Reverb and Echo user presets can now be loaded via MIDI CC: B2 0C nn for Reverb preset 1 to 16, B3 0C nn for Echo preset 1 to 16
- Added current interface to title bar of Mixer Settings dialog (F3)
More to come!
New Windows driver 3.084 brings these changes:
- Separated names for the MIDI ports: 'FF800 Midi Port' for Fireface 800, 'FF400 Midi Port' for the Fireface 400, 'UFX Midi Port' for the Fireface UFX.
It also comes with TotalMix FX 0.997:
- Fixed crash when moving group fader while ‘FX Send to Main out’ was active
- Mic Gain CC MIDI control channel count now excludes hidden channels
- Reverb and Echo user presets can now be loaded via MIDI CC: B2 0C nn for Reverb preset 1 to 16, B3 0C nn for Echo preset 1 to 16
More to come!
Windows FireWire driver 3.085 and Mac driver 3.22 bring these changes:
- ASIO sample rate change did not work correctly in Pyramix (Windows only)
TotalMix FX 0.998:
- Improved Undo: Loading a Workspace after editing Snapshots removed the last edits from the undo buffer
- Several small fixes
- Compatible to the latest firmwares for the iPad app v 1.1
Windows FireWire driver V 3.089 brings these changes:
- New: number of WDM devices can now be defined in the Settings dialog. A reduction accellerates the change of the sample rate, reduces the time of continued CPU load, brings quicker behavior on plugging and unplugging the unit, and reduces the boot time of Windows with connected interface. The best setting is 0, means no WDM devices at all. Only ASIO and MIDI are active then. A typical setting is 1 to 3 devices (WDM for Media Player etc.), also causing a much quicker behavior than full WDM channel count.
- Workaround for bug in Windows FireWire bandwidth management (no playback after several start/stops with change of the sample rate)
- In specific cases after changing the sample rate from/to single/double/quad speed a wrong buffer size was reported
- TotalMix FX 0.999
- Note: this driver version requires DIGICheck version 5.71 or higher!
Windows FireWire driver 3.091 includes a fix for the Fireface 400, where the encoder could not change the level when the new option WDM Devices was set below maximum.
Windows FireWire driver 3.092 brings TotalMix FX 1.00 with some changes and bugfixes that we consider serious and urgent, although most users were not affected:
- Several bugfixes when loading workspaces (possible graphics problem after loading the same workspace multiple times; possible hang after multiple loading of workspaces with an Aux device setting; possible incorrect loading of Mac or iPad workspaces).
- Changed Channel Layout: removed column 'active'. The list now only shows the channels that are currently present, depending on the actual sample rate. This also fixes wrong channel names when using the option 'Count MADI Channels per port' with MADI devices.
- Global Trim Gains is now switched off with the Global Trim button only
Users of Fireface 400 and 800 don't need to update as the driver itself is unchanged to version 3.091.
Windows FireWire driver 3.094 brings some fixes and the latest TotalMix FX:
- ASIO latency offset of the 802 fixed
- General: ASIO latency offset includes 'DSP for record' option
- Changed sync behavior for external clocking (ASIO error message)
TotalMix FX 1.01:
- Fixed wrong display of the FX section under Windows XP
- Since 1.0 the LCD support of the Mackie Protocol was broken
Windows FireWire driver 3.099 is now available.
- Removes autostart of the old TotalMix
- Supports simultaneous display of the Hardware Level in TotalMix FX and DIGICheck
- Bug fixed: multiclient operation disturbed with WDM and more than one ASIO host
TotalMix FX 1.03
- Improved handling of the icon in the notification area
- 3 brightness levels to adjust the display to the monitor (Options - Preferences or F2)
- Restart of totalmixfx.exe loads the program from \System32 even on 64 bit systems
- CRM channel selection no longer limited
- Small graphics glitch with Mute and Solo buttons fixed (Group and 135%)
Mac FireWire driver 323 is now available, with TotalMix FX 1.03 also for older units like the Fireface 800 and 400.
The latest FireWire Driver 3.100 brings TotalMix FX 1.05. Differences to the former 1.03 from driver 3.099:
- Volume of Listenback input is saved
- Fireface 800 default channels have been changed from AN 9/10 to AN 1/2 for Mains, and to AN 9/10 for Phones 1. These new values will only be set when TM FX is installed for the first time, or a Total Reset has been performed.
- MIDI fixed for the newly supported 'old' interfaces, fixing also various related side effects
- Settings (F3) did not work correctly. Chosing specific Talkback/Listen channels could cause more trouble.
- Clear Submix (right mouse click) no longer deletes the submix of Talkback and Listen inputs
The latest Windows FireWire Driver 3.110 brings TotalMix FX 1.07. There are no changes in the FW driver or TM FX when using FireWire. An update is needed if you use interfaces with both USB and FW, to prevent an older version of TM FX being installed.

Mac FireWire driver 324 includes TM FX 1.07. Changes compared to 3.23 with TM FX 1.03:

A firmware update for the Fireface UCX and Fireface UFX is now available.
UCX: V 46/240/26/CC 10: Fixes a detection problem which occurred in seldom cases with VIA based FireWire.
UFX V 357/159/343/CC26: DURec: recording an output signal (TM FX third row) exceeding 0 dBFS produced nasty digital distortion. This update (DSP 159) had been available through this forum before.
Mac FireWire driver 3.26 changes the latency offset values reported to Core Audio to the correct values for the Fireface 802. It also includes TotalMix FX 1.10 with many changes and improvements, see readme.
Windows FireWire driver 3.115 and Mac FireWire driver 3.27 have been released with TotalMix FX 1.12.
Mac FireWire driver 3.27 has been reuploaded with a fixed installer working under 10.10.5.
Mac FireWire driver 3.28 in combination with the latest firmware update tool fixes a bug where MIDI does not work when the interface had been connected together or in series with other FireWire devices.

Windows FireWire driver 3.121 not only includes TotalMix FX 1.35, but can now also be installed and will work with any version of W7, 8.0, 8.1 and 10, no matter if updates etc had been installed for the OS or not.
Mac FireWire driver has been updated to 3.31 and includes TotalMix FX 1.35.
Windows (3.122) and Mac (3.32) FireWire driver have been updated with TotalMix FX 1.40.
Now this thread missed some updates. The latest one is Mac FireWire driver 3.38, shortly after we released 3.37. The XCode compiler that is necessary for Catalina compatibility destroyed the MIDI input functionality. Also fixed: partly black letters in Settings dialog with Dark mode.
Mac FireWire driver 3.39 has been released. It brings back compatibility to 32 bit mode of the MIDI server. Since 3.37 only 64 bit was supported.
