Hi Larry,

So finally, you decided to get an UFX III, good choice! To your questions..
1- Cabling
RME uses 1310 nm for multimode with their transceivers. You can use any OM3 or OM4 multimode cable.
You should only stick to one type if you have structured in-house cabling,
so that OM3 and OM4 do not mix between 2 devices; otherwise you get higher dampening.
2- Auxdevice Support for 12Mic
With the latest TM FX version 1.97b1 you have Auxdevice for 12Mic.
See the RME sticky posting: https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=40049
If Windows:
- save your workspace for safety reasons
- download the TM FX binary
- quit TM FX, replace the binary in C:\windows\system32, re-start TM FX
3- Setting up Auxdevice for 12Mic - Example
See here how to set it up with a few screenshots:

Friendly reminder:
you can only use 1 remote control protocol at once, otherwise you get issues, so either Auxdevice or RME Connector, not both!
