Topic: Need some help - I think with routing?

So, some time ago, I was having a problem getting sound into Audacity. That was solved. but only temporarily. It no longer works, and I am wondering if this is not a totalmixfx issue.

is the issue potentially that I am not seeing anything in the hw inputs?

In my sounds (Win7 ctrl panel), in both pb and recording, the RME Analog 1&2 is set to default device. Any ideas?

RME HDSPe AIO with Windows7 Ult 64 bit.

Thanks in advance.

Your screenshot shows the self-noise of the analog input, so it is working. There is just no signal attached from outside going in.

Connectors? This is all ITB.

Re: Need some help - I think with routing?

The inputs are hardware inputs. If you need to record a software output you have to create a loopback that routs the output back to input in totalmix. Not sure how, cause the HDSP9652 I have doesnt have that, but search for loopback in the manual(or menu)

Got it - had to check loopback on the hardware output channel.

Thanks.
