Topic: HDSP 9632 and TotalMixFX
Good day,
May I ask why the TotalMixFX - Matrix View, displays OUT 1-2, then OUT 7 to 16?
Where are OUTS 1-6?
Thank you for your time!

What's your sample rate? Did you enable quad speed?
Check manual ch 18. There you see 4 ADAT channels @double speed.
At quad speed its 50% less, two channels because of port multiplexing.
SPDIF and analog ports are not affected.
Ramses,
Thanks for the reply.
My sample rate is 48K
Really? Don't be fooled, maybe you use a different sample rate when using DAW/ASIO driver compared to using WDM driver for Windows and other apps that do not support ASIO.
At least you have the correct number of outputs,1 and 2 are analog, 7 and 8 spdif and 9/16 adat. I think maybe 3/6 are for the expansion board that was-is available. Are spdif and adat 1/8 available in TMFX?
Could also be 7-14 adat and 15 and 16 spdif
Order of ports is different in the manual, vinark. Could kindly cross-check ch 18?

It is about the naming, you have 4 places with names,
1 in TMFX
2 in the matrix
3 in asio
4 in wdm
As far as I can see numbering/sequence is only different in the matrix.
I will see if I can check here, I have not fired my machine with the hdsp9632 in a while.
Oh I forgot, my hdsp9632s are in my caravan.
ramses and vinark,
Thanks for the replies...appreciated.
The user manual is pretty much useless to me - especially the diagrams. Totally lost!
I only use a single DAW application - all other audio sources are disabled running on WIN7 Pro.
• This system is dedicated to one function - and one function only.
If the primary functionality of the Matrix View is for more complex routings, then I really do not see any need for me to ever use the Matrix View.
At present my system uses ADAT 1/2 IN and ADAT 1/2 OUT...that is it!
It's fine to use submix mode.
I started to use the matrix after deleting all routings and implementing only the required ones.
The additional channels are for the AI/AO extensions, but stay invisible when no such extension is plugged in. When you see these channels in the matrix but not the mixer view this might be a simple graphics bug in TM FX. Which version are you using? Latest one is 1.78, in just released driver 4.39.
