For a few extreme measurements I use my 12 year old Exide Gel G80 from my motorhome.
The successor product is the Exide Equipment Gel ES900:
900 Cycles at 50% DOD
Internal gas recombination, Safe and clean, Absolutely maintenance free, ...

Exide EQUIPMENT GEL

Re: Any news on RME DPS-2

Thank you for releasing the DPS-2 manual, Mr.Carstens!
I have a question.
Are you going to release DPS-2 in Japan?

There seems no mention about Japanese PSE Certification in the manual.
Assuming that DPS-2 is released in Japan, is it going to be a Japanese-specific 100V AC version?

thanks.

Re: Any news on RME DPS-2

You just gave two reasons why there is currently no plan to release it in Japan. And this is a quite common scheme, you will find that most of this kind of stuff is available everywhere but not in Japan. Missing ground in home mains net (safety issue), expensive (redundant) testing, and having to produce a unit only for the Japanese market (using an extra made transformer that is not used anywhwere else in the world) make it impossible. Well, at least for now. If the demand gets overwhelming the situation might change...

So sad to hear…
thank you so much for the answer.

Re: Any news on RME DPS-2

Maybe you might use transformer to get 220V from 100V and buy european version....
