Topic: IO ERROR after flash to rev. 55 / driver update 3.08.2 - Multiface I

Hello,
I am a win xp user.
I used the fut for an update to hardware rev. 55 of my PCI interface which is about 6,7 years old now (as is my multiface, the old one without volume knob in the front). flash update was succesfull - at least that's what it said during installation.

I had drive 3.075 installed and hardware rev 54, that was working okay, but I wasn't happy with the latency I got.

After the flash and driver update, the multiface host error led stays red :-(
In the hammerfall dsp settings, it tells me that 3.08.2 is installed and that my hardware revision is now 55.

However, it tells me I/O Box State Error.

Quick help is highly appreciated, I'm a professional user, I need the audio to work!

Did you power-cycle the computer after the update?

power cycle... i guess you mean if I switched off the computer as demanded?
I disconnected the computer's power cable for several minutes after the flash update.

Maybe this is helpful:
When I open the HDSP settings in the very beginning while win xp is booting, the IO box state changes between "detected" and "error" twice, then stays on "error"

I used an old FUT to flash back to rev 54, now it works again... what happened with 55? however, is the firmware update important, does it make a change regarding low latency?

Are you using a power supply for the Multiface?

I tried both. it doesn't matter if I plugin the power supply or not. I normally don't use it.
As I said, rolling back to rev 54 and everything works again... strange, isn't it?

Anyway, is the firmware flash update 54 > 55 crucial?

Update 3.052, 08/27/2007

- Inf-file updated for newest firmware 17/55. This one fixes a 1 sample click problem at start/stop with Multiface, Digiface and RPM. No changes in the driver.
