Topic: RME UCX II monitor options

Newbie here.

Is it possible to use the SPDIF-outputs as monitor outputs? My Neumann KH 120 II have SPDIF inputs.

Thanks.

Hi Nevets

yes, in Totalmix route signal to this output.
Do you know how to do that ?

you need the breakout cable, you have it ?

Hello

I have never used the SPDIF outputs but we can route all the I/O's from the CHAN/MIX front encoder on the UCX II, so you may choose to do it via TotalMix or via stand-alone.

Re: RME UCX II monitor options

My chain is UCX II -> S/P-DIF -> ADI-2 Pro -> S/P-DIF -> KH 750 DSP -> analog -> KH 120 A. Everything works like a charm.

So it's not only possible, it's recommended.

Re: RME UCX II monitor options

Why not straight from the UCX II to the KH 750 DSP?

Are you asking me? It's because the KH 750 DSP is connected to the ADI-2 Pro.

Re: RME UCX II monitor options

Well, I guess to use some of ADI-2 Pro's features, what else .. ;-)
